 Step 4 - Removing tiles and brickwork forming the hob 

         Removal of the old waterproofing and brick hob.

  • An electric jack hammer is recommended to knock the hob edge inwards toward the shower area.

  • This reduces the risk of damaging the outer floor tile area.

  • Before dismantling the hob edge of the shower, mark the existing height of the old tile hob - this assists the installation of the new hob to a similar finished height.

  • If the sheet floor substrate is decayed, it may have to be replaced.
